Two years ago I met a wonderful young woman from Australia. We exchanged our arts and I was so pleased. Last xmas I brought it out again. I contacted her and she found 4 friends as I did and we did postcard exchange. Thank you for starting this and please include me again this year. I am in prayer for your family for recovery and health.

I am thoroughly enjoying the wonderful new quilting pen pal that I have found in Brenda from NSW, Australia. We are sharing our life's experiences and adventures via email. We are sharing each other's quilting projects and new finds. I enjoy the Australia version of Homespun Magazine as she includes one in my packages.

Here it is, almost autumn and I'm starting to think of Christmas! Which of course brought to mind the wonderful swap from Christmas last year, where I was paired up with Carol in NZ. That was such fun, especially since I've gotten a new sweet quilting buddy from it. The best gift of all! A new friend! I'm working on talking Carol into coming to visit. I think it's going to happen! Thanks so much for the swap and I hope you'll be doing it again! If so...I wanna play. One can never have too many quilting friends, you know. :-)

This is very late but as they say, better late than never! My swap partner is from right up in the Artic circle, in Norway, about as far apart as we could get. We have exchanged parcels and numerous emails and photos. What a wonderful way to learn about another country and to see the type of craftwork people in other countries are doing. Right now, I am eagerly looking for ideas for this Christmas's swap. This is a wonderful way to bring our global family together.

I had a disappointing exchange, my swap partner send a not very nice email, wanting to know where I have got her email address from an what was I talking about??? So I left it at that I wished , after reading this posting that I had said something at the time and got a new partner. never mind if there is a swap this year I will join again, maybe second time lucky!! I know that this is quite late but better late than never.

Thanks Fiona for giving me the name of my swap partner, Lori - we corresponded a couple of times and I sent off my Christmas Swap parcel but sadly have not heard any more from her. She lives in Florida USA and I was hoping she hadn't been caught up in the tornadoes that they had over that time. I hope she replies someday soon.

Thank you, Jessica

Well, I'm a long time coming in getting a message in here, but I have to say, this has been one of the greatest experiences for me, meeting Dawn Collins in Australia! We have had the best time exchanging fabrics, she sent me some beautiful pieces that are patterns from Australia plus pictures of our families which was a real joy to have faces to the names and get to see my new friend. She gave me a wonderful surprise by calling me at work just before Christmas. I was amazed and thrilled to hear from her. I also just received a beautiful quilt with flora and fauna of her country which I just adore! I almost cried, as I have given quilts to friends and family for many years, but this was the first time anyone had ever made a quilt just for me.
We keep in touch and continue to share, I am just about ready to send another package off to her with goodies I hope she will enjoy. I feel I have made a friend for life and wish I could meet her, but you never know, maybe someday!!! Thankyou for this wonderful experience, it has been so rewarding.

I was a little let down at first because my swap partner didn't correspond so I thought she was not interested. I requested a second swap partner, who I might add is the cutest, sweetest and darilng person I have had the pleasure to met. She is from NZ and doesn't mind the great difference in our ages. I am having the very best time emailing, writing, and doing our swaps. Thank you for my life time new friend.

Thank you Fiona Marie for introducing the great Christmas swap. It has been such fun to receive a swap gift from my partner Karen in Tucson USA and to exchange emails. I was sent a lovely parcel of coasters - very different from anything I have seen before. I hope too, to keep in touch with Karen in the future. What a lot of interesting mail you have received in this file.

I am in Alabama in the United States and my swap pal is in Australia. What a wonderful idea this was as I know we will stay in touch even though the swap is over. I got a beautiful beaded tote bag and a Lavender pillow. We have enjoyed e-mailing each other as much, or more, than swapping presents.
Thank you for this idea and for your time and trouble,
Sandy R

I received a lovely wall hanging from Nancy in NZ. It is just beautiful; she used fabric with lots of scenes and flora & fauna of NZ. This inpsired me to get out my atlas and read about New Zealand. I have learned so much, and hope we can continue to email each other in the future. It will be such fun sharing ideas - and maybe even fabrics. This was such a neat idea.
